Extract Registration Non-Residents (RNI)

You are registered in the Non-residents Register (RNI), but you no longer have your citizen service number (BSN), or you need a proof of deregistration, for example. You can request an RNI extract online or make an appointment. Please note that appointments can only be scheduled up to 1 month in advance.

Important: An extract is not free of charge. You will receive an invoice after your request.

What you need to know

  • You must be registered in the Register for Non-residents (RNI) to be able to apply for a RNI extract
  • If you apply for it online, we will send the extract to you by post within a few days. If you live abroad, it may take several weeks before you receive the extract. We cannot send the extract digitally, nor can we track the mail
  • If you come in person, you will receive the extract immediately at your appointment
  • You may authorize someone in the Netherlands to collect the extract on your behalf
  • You can request a RNI extract at all RNI-offices

If you come to the appointment in person, payment can only be made by debit card.

Authorizing someone else to request an extract

You can authorize someone else to request the RNI extract for you. This person must make an appointment and bring the following:

You can choose from 3 types of extracts:

Option 1: International RNI Extract

  • This extract includes: name, date of birth, marital status (if available), nationality, parental details (if available), date of deregistration. You can choose from two language combinations: Dutch-French-German-English or Dutch-Spanish-Italian-Turkish. You must indicate your preferred language

Option 2: Standard RNI Extract

  • This extract includes: BSN, nationality, name, date of birth, current address
  • This is the most commonly chosen option if you only need your BSN
  • Only available in Dutch

Option 3: Residence History Extract

  • This extract includes: name, date of birth, BSN, current address, known previous addresses
  • Only available in Dutch
